Historical state constitutions

The NBER/Maryland State Constitution Project is building a considerable web resource that will eventually "provide searchable and indexed text for every one of the roughly 150 state constitutions from 1776 to the present." They are also developing databases that will ennumerate the characteristics of state constitutions. Some of the base documents used for this collection come from Francis Newton Thorpe's The Federal and State Constitutions ... (1909). The project is correcting any errors found in the original set. Ohio's 1802 and 1851 Constitutions are already proofed.
